Founded in 1964, the University City Swim Club was established with a pioneering vision: to create a welcoming environment where black and white community members could swim together at a time when such integration was rare. This groundbreaking commitment to racial equality reflected the progressive values and welcoming community of our neighborhood and remains fundamental to our identity today.

Our founding vision has expanded to embrace diversity in all its forms while maintaining our core mission of providing a safe, relaxing, and family-friendly environment where all people can come together to swim and socialize. We take pride in fostering a community that:
